Accessing Sample ePortfolio

Every student and faculty member has in their Canvas "Profile" (upper right, once you click the Canvas button) an "ePortfolio" link. There, you will find a helpful wizard that walks you through the process of creating an ePortfolio. in fact, you may create as many ePortofolios as you like.

Here is a sample ePortfolio Assignment, along with an associated Rubric, which details the Learning Outcomes being assessed. This particular sample displays and explains the 3 Essential Elements of the ePortfolio, which are:
  1. Landing Page, which consists of an engaging conceptual image along with introductory text.
  2. Signature Project. Students choose a major project that best allows them to explain that they have met essential learning outcomes.
  3. A few passages of thoughtful Reflection. Students reflect (with guidance) upon how their Signature Project helped them to achieve key goals for the course. Given that courses selected for Gen Ed Assessment all aim at helping students achieve a broad range of shared goals, teachers and students should be able to identify aspects of the project that helped students achieve specific goals. This GE ePortfolio Pilot will ask teachers and students to reflect upon Creative Thinking
The sample ePortfolio also offers guidance on and samples of Reflection that draw on the conceptual core provided by UVU's General Education Curriculum Essential Learning Outcomes, the ELOs
note: during the Fall 2011 Pilot for which the sample was created, the entire range of ELOs were in use. Keep in mind that the 2012 Pilot will assess only for the CCC outcome of "Critical Thinking."
additionally super-helpful note!: here is another sample ePortfolio, this one with particular instructions on manipulating the relationship between pages and sections sufficient to enable "one click" for each part of the 3-part ePortfolio.
